Mt. Etna is located in Sicily, Italy and is a stratovolcano. It stands 10,991 feet high and is currently an active volcano. The cause of this volcano is theEuropean and African plates pushing towards each other thanks to convection currents. Mt. Etna erupts almost every year and can spread ash and fire in the air.
In Greek mythology, Enceladus was one of the Giants, the offspring of Earth and Sky. Enceladus was the traditional opponent of Athena during the war between the Giants and the gods, and was said to be buried under Mount Etna in Sicily.
